For the second-straight week, the 11th-ranked Hutchinson Community College football team is on the road again, this time opening Jayhawk Conference play on Saturday night at Independence Community College.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Emmot Field in Independence. The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and sister station KWBW-AM (1450) with Rusty Hilst (play-by-play) and Glen Grunwald (analysis/sideline) calling the action. Pregame begins at 6:30 p.m. The game can also be heard on the internet on the Blue Dragon Sports Network beginning at 6:50 p.m. FULL RELEASE |

Hutchinson Community College sophomore running back Jamal Womble and sophomore place kicker Jeremy Linn were named Verizon/Jayhawk Conference Offensive and Special Teams players of the week for their performances on opening weekend, the Jayhawk Conference office announced on Tuesday.
